Advanced Day Ultimate Protect sunscreen is enhanced by DNA repair enzymes. UV exposure can lead to DNA damage, impacting natural processes such as free radical defenses and collagen production. Photolyase, a light-activated enzyme, supports the skin's natural repair mechanisms to prevent future formation of visible fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation caused by UV exposure. Photolyase is encapsulated to optimize skin penetration, delivering next-generation anti-aging results, including healthier-looking, more resilient skin with a natural glow.
UV rays aren't the only thing we need to protect our skin from; we're also exposed to a number of other daily factors throughout the year that can cause premature skin aging.
Advanced Day Ultimate Protect contains sustainably produced bilberry seed oil, a natural shield against blue light. Blue light from the sun can cause free radical damage or visible hyperpigmentation. Bilberry seed oil can absorb the blue light before it reaches the skin, minimizing damage from blue light exposure.
Marrubium vulgare extract provides superior defense against pollution to limit the damage caused by environmental pollutants by protecting skin cells and helping to strengthen the skin barrier.
Carnosine is a multitasking dipeptide that protects against both glycation and infrared rays. Glycation is a natural aging process in which dietary sugars react with proteins like collagen, converting them into advanced glycation end products (AGEs) that cannot be renewed, leading to fine lines and wrinkles. Advanced Day Ultimate Protect uses carnosine to inhibit the glycation reaction and protect the skin from glycation-induced aging. Carnosine can also protect the skin from infrared rays, which make up about half of the sun's rays and are known to play a role in collagen breakdown. Nourishing squalane and hydrating hyaluronic acid work to provide long-lasting hydration and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
